LOOSE ENDS — 2021
LOOSE ENDS is a collection of works made while in residence at Dream Farm Commons in 2021. As my process typically follows, much of the work I developed and presented through this residency are at various stages of completion. “Finished” is a concept I struggle with, as I am one who will work on a piece (usually quite inconsistently) over a span of years. I imagine these works will shift in time, becoming and unbecoming as we all do. But as a whole, they speak to the qualities of ambiguity, opacity, and longing that overlay much of my experience while searching for a sense of place, both within and around an ever-changing state of global affairs / concept of self, as it relates to my ancestral culture.
